VBS 2024

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (or VBS for short) is an outreach ministry of Bible Church at Rockbridge.  During the week of VBS we open our doors to families from all over our community.  At VBS, classes about God and the Bible are offered for people of all ages, including adults.  There is a rotation that allows for snacks, games, crafts, fellowship, and of course, class time.  For more information, please see below, check out our Facebook event, or contact the church.

Activities

  • Class Time - participants are separated into age appropriate classes where they can learn the lesson of the day in fun and exciting ways with their peers.

  • Snack Time - the church will provide a brief refreshments period for all classes where participants can enjoy a light dinner and fellowship with their friends.

  • Recreation Time - each children's class will have a designated time to go outdoors to play.  There will be adult supervision to help students enjoy the recreation facilities and activities safely. 

  • Music Time - all week long, students will work with one of our adult volunteers to learn a new song to present to their families at the end of the week at our commencement program.  

  • Gospel Moments - each night at VBS will watch a video to help students understand the Gospel.  

Classes

  • Pre-Primary - children who have just finished pre-school or kindergarten **PRE-PRIMARY STUDENTS MUST BE POTTY-TRAINED** 

  • Primary - children who have just finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade

  • Juniors - children who have just finished 4th, 5th, or 6th grade

  • Teens - children who have just finished 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade

  • Adults - any person 18 years of age and older are welcome to participate in our adult class.

  • **NOTE** - There will not be a nursery provided this year.  No drop-offs will be allowed for children under the Pre-Primary threshold.  Children too young for Pre-Primary are welcome to sit in the adult class with their parent/guardian.  A nursery room will be available for parents who need to care for babies.

Basic Info

  • Classes on June 16-20, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:45 PM

  • Commencement Program on June 21st from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  Families are encourage to attend to witness what their children have learned.  

  • Ice Cream Social - June 21st at 7:30 PM.  All are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of their children.
